Caring for the Body, Mind and Soul

In modern Western culture “self-care” is often associated with indulgence and escape, but Islam offers us a more profound and balanced vision of self-care. It reminds us that our bodies, hearts, and minds are an amānah (trust), from Allah. Preserving this amānah is not selfishness, but an act of gratitude and responsibility.

The Prophet ﷺ reminded us that our bodies have a right over us, and caring for oneself is part of fulfilling these rights. When a Muslim woman nurtures herself with intention, she honors the trust that Allah has placed upon her, strengthening her ability to serve her Lord, her family, and her community.

That's why we've created a little book. As a reminder that self-care can be ʿibādah (worship).

It comes alive in the quiet pauses for duʿāʾ, the steady rhythm of salāh, the dhikr whispered between tasks, the gratitude we cultivate, and even in the way we rest, nourish, and protect ourselves.

Within these pages we share simple yet meaningful ways Muslim women can embrace self-care as an act of ʿibādah — rooted in Islam, well-balanced, and always with the intention of drawing closer to Allah.

We pray these tips bring you benefit, comfort, and ease in your everyday flow.

As a little gift, we’ve also included a collection of bonus materials — tools to help you integrate these reminders into your daily practice.
